Background on William Wordsworth’s research.
Through the interpretation of isolation and Independence, I can understand the change of Wordsworth’s mentality when he wrote. He praised the nature as well as the working people. Thus, I summarized Wordsworth’s six psychological changes in her poems, namely joy, anxiety, fear, death, hope and strength. Through the summary and analysis of the six mental states, I began to take pictures of natural scenes in life, and used images of these natural elements to express my mood, such as flowers, leaves, trees, animals, cracks, etc. The images were captured to show six mental themes by changing colours. For example, yellow represents joy, green represents hope, black represents death and so on. Therefore, this book describes the author’s mental journey in writing this poem.
In project 2, under the premise of fully understanding the design content, poetry is presented through visual language, and interactive thinking is generated with readers. What I choose is to use photographic pictures for narration and to connect with poetry. Data processing through vision refers to the use of images that humans see to enhance human perception and resonance of data. Visual design principles come from data, These principles must be abstracted by the visual researcher (Bahador et al., 2018). Therefore, through the interpretation of poetry, I transformed the data into keywords for visual presentation, and used colours to adjust visual emotions. For example, the change of the mentality of the author of poetry is abstractly visualized to explain and form a new visual form. In the process of exploring the visual design, I found that how to effectively and accurately combine and interpret data requires us to constantly explore.
In the final product, there are 12 pages in total, and each page has three photographs, all of which were shot and recreated by myself. The QR code in the picture can be scanned by your phone and downloaded as you like. Qr codes are also marked on the back of the book, which can also be scanned by mobile phones for a digital reading experience. This is an act of interaction with the reader.
Below are the pictures of the final product, which I chose to print out and assemble the book in the studio by stitching.
