A weather app for cyclists

This is my presentation process and show the function of this app, from app logo to the end.

I improved the three functions and move the output device to the iWatch. The mobile phone APP was synchronized with the information of the iWatch, so that we could use it in the cycling process.

1. Preliminary PACT analysis of biker users.

2. Through the investigation and analysis of cycling users, the weather APP was reformed.
The main purpose is to enrich the unique experience of cycling users of the weather APP, formulate special function Settings for special groups of cycling users, make it more convenient to use the weather APP, and increase the spiritual care and practical operation of cycling groups. For example, weather congestion prompt, exit prompt, special weather warning, weather music care, voice control and so on are added. Innovate and optimize according to the needs of cycling users.

6. In addition to the basic weather forecasting function, I have added 6 specific functions for cycling users, which I will explain below.

The design of the icon

the upper part of the icon to simplify the design of the shape of the cloud, three circles constitute the concept of the cloud.

Below, two semicircular elements appear, like wheels, representing the wheels of the riding vehicle.

Wind speed and direction enquiries

This is the query of the wind direction and speed in the weather, you can judge whether it is suitable for riding a bike according to the wind direction and speed. The feature also suggests the best downwind route for riding.

Special weather probability forecast

Through the analysis of the probability of rainfall, a prompt window pops up, indicating the probability, time and size of rainfall. At the same time, the user is reminded to bring rain gear.

This is an indication of the probability of snow, and the same thing is the probability of snow, when it falls, and how much snow it falls. At the same time, the user is advised not to ride a bike.

Weather music concern

Care for cyclists through weather awareness and appropriate music. For example, when it snows, the app will play or recommend

some warm music. When it’s sunny, the app will play some relaxing music. When it rains, the app will play upbeat music and so on.

Voice broadcast function

Since it is difficult for users to use mobile phones when they are working or riding, they can set up voice control and timed voice broadcast.

For example, when you get to work in the morning, there is a weather report at 8 o ‘clock. There will be a weather report at 12 o ‘clock. 16 o ‘clock, 20 o ‘clock and so on, we can set it ourselves.
